RSNA2014 Radiology Exhibition Report from Chicago

On 30th of Nov., 2014, the biggest international radiology event in the year, RSNA show was opened. SHIMADZU exhibited many new products with our booth theme "Passion for Detail", and welcomed a lot of visitors to feel our “Passion” in our new products and cutting edge technology of high quality imaging, workflow improvements, dose-reduction and new applications to expand the possibility of X-ray imaging. Here, we would like to thank all the guests who kindly visited our booth, and introduce its highlights of this year as follows.

SONIALVISION G4 attracted the most visitors in our booth this year. It is because this is the "All-in-One" universal RF system to support a wide range of examinations from routine fluoroscopic studies to Orthopedic, Urologic, Geriatric, Pediatric, Bariatric, HSG and DSA studies etc., with its advanced features, imaging technologies and X-ray dose optimization. This system is considered as a very “Productive” solution to the hospitals who have just a “conventional” RF system covering the routine fluoro studies only. SONIALVION G4 will be a new standard of “UNIVERSAL” X-ray imaging system.

We exhibited Trinias C12 "Crossover system" with new tiltable catheterization table(W.I.P.), which will expand its application further. Also, we show excellent images with our latest image processing “SCORE PRO Advance”. With these total technologies, Trinias system strongly supports all peripheral, neuro, and cardiac angiography and interventions. It is also featuring our advanced applications, such as SCORE 3D (3D Angiography), SCORE CT (CT-like imaging), SCORE StentView(Realtime PCI support) etc., with a 56" large LCD display at booth.

Since Shimadzu released the world’s first mobile DR system in 2005, we have been providing the most advanced and user-friendly mobile DR solution for worldwide users and kept on being awarded as No.1 "Category Leader" by an independent evaluation organization, KLAS.

At this show, we achieved another breakthrough with our latest "EFX version" which we've just released, equipped with a faster processor, a better visibility monitor and stronger battery etc. We did not only realize those product enhancements, but also expanded the clinical utility to pediatric NICU or Emergency etc. by widening the various FPD choices to be connected. Our MobileDaRt-series will always drive you forward.

The General Radiography System is the most basic, therefore the most essential X-ray system. We proposed our new concept “DR Neutral” at this RSNA, which enables you to select the most optimal DR / FPD to each different customer’s requirements nowadays. Also, it featured “Auto-positioning" and "Speed-stitch" to obtain a long view image by a very simple & quick automatic workflow.

Beyond the existing modality, we’ve developed our various latest technology of imaging, dose reduction and better patient care under our "SMILE*" concept. Our R&D experts introduced some of these advanced technology at our special corner titled as “Cutting Edge Technology Zone” to the advanced visitors who are kindly interested in it, and were always busy with the fruitful discussions inspired each other a lot.
