Shimadzu Medical Systems USA releases the RADspeed Pro V series system

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has introduced a new configuration for the RADspeed Pro General Radiographic system called RADspeed Pro V series. To date, Shimadzu has sold more than 24,000 RADspeed series worldwide, where they have earned a strong reputation. Now, the RADspeed Pro V series has been added on the RADspeed Pro product lineup to provide new clinical value with an innovative digital radiography (DR) system.

General Radiographic systems are used for imaging various parts of the body, such as the chest, abdomen, or bones and joints for orthopedic surgery, making these systems essential tools for the initial diagnosis of a wide variety of diseases. Therefore, the General Radiography room is one of the busiest rooms in medical facilities and a General Radiographic system that provides high examination throughput is preferred.

The RADspeed Pro state-of-the-art automatic General Radiographic system is developed based on the extensive experience and expertise Shimadzu cultivated as a pioneer in medical imaging systems. One of the features called Auto Positioning, which enables automatic positioning of the ceiling-mounted X-ray tube support to any desired position at the press of a single button, provides effortless positioning to focus on patient care. The RADspeed Pro generator console is integrated to the DR console and enables seamless X-ray conditions such as auto collimation and dose values that transfer to RIS and PACS systems.

The RADspeed Pro V series offers versatile and user-friendly flat panel detectors with 3 different sizes (14x17, 17x17 and 10x12 inches) that improves clinical workflow. The ergonomic design of the flat panel detector makes it easier to carry and prevents accidental drops. In addition, the 40-inch height drop resistance as well as the IP67 Dust and Water resistance provides durability in any clinical environment and promotes lower total cost of ownership. Furthermore, the maximum 880lbs. load capacity supports bariatric patient friendly examinations. The V series detector operates up to 16 hours with full-charge and this long-lasting battery doesn’t require frequent charging during the day. The RADspeed Pro V series is designed to meet your clinical needs by delivering versatile clinical solutions.
